Activities

Since inception, Learning Resources Centre (LRC) of NITTTR, Kolkata under Ministry of Education, Govt of India, plays a pivotal role in the 'teaching-learning system' in this Country.
In this regard, respectfully acknowledge the name of Professor Swarnendu Kumar Das, founder principal of TTTI, Calcutta who paved the path and felt the importance to establish such a department along with other conventional engineering department in the 'teaching-learning system'.

It is said that, "A picture is worth thousand words". A photograph reveal the unseen world into reality. To implement this concept in classroom learning, in the beginning era, this department had prepared Photographic blow-ups, Slide tape program, 16mm film, charts etc. to make learning more interesting and value added.

To cope with the changing technology from analogue to digital era this department also shifted its activities from darkroom to computer and tape base shooting to card base recording. Presently this department equipped with state of the art cameras, editing machine etc. along with a highly skilled and experienced staff members.

Presently this Centre is under the Dean, Faculty and Academic Affairs. Other supporting staff are One Senior-Technical assistant, one MTS and two contractual Technical Staffs. With these adequate staff members this departmental is earnestly trying to produce quality output and render quality services to maintain the professional standard.

Major Activities of LRC
  • Production of educational video films for MOOC based program, Gyan Darshan channel etc
  • Documentation of various ongoing office events both in still and video format
  • Video Editing
  • Support services in 'ICT based program'
  • Photography work
  • To organize workshop related to 'Photo Exhibition' and 'Media Technology'
  • Support services in conducting e-STTP's, online and hybrid mode M.Tech classes, Workshops etc.
  • Provided extension services to outside Organisation by preparing video capsules for MOOC course
