"Feel like home" attitude prevails when NITTTR provides accommodation to the participants of Short Term Training Programmes. To cater this service one Executive Hostel and two numbers of Student Hostels are made functional inside the main campus. Few AC and non AC rooms in the hostels are made available for hire on first -come-first service. The Executive Hostel has 24 numbers of AC and 16 numbers of Non AC rooms which can accommodate 80 numbers of participants. In addition to that Student Hostels can accommodate almost 100 numbers of student participants. M.Tech students are provided with single seated accommodation with fooding facilities in the student hostel. Facilities like room service, supply of daily newspapers, cable connected televisions, provision of indoor games like Table Tennis, Carom etc. are available in the hostels. For booking of rooms correspondence should be made directly to "The Director, NITTTR, Kolkata".

The Library of National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research, Kolkata is on the 3rd floor of the New Building of this Institute so that trainees, M.tech. students, faculty members and others can have access to it as and when they need. The total floor area of the Library is 3,736.45 sq.ft. It is a excellent reference library for Technical, Educational, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Science, Curriculum Development, Continuing Education, Educational Planning & Management, Community Development and Rural Technology and other related subjects.

The Library has subscribed to over 69 Journals of National and International level on various subjects and also has provision for inter-library loan facility.

The Library also renders services for the special users, who are engaged in study for M.Phil., Ph.D. or any other project work. For the said category of users there is a provision to enrol as external members of the Library of the NITTTR on payment of prescribed fees.
