Director's Message

It is with great honour and a deep sense of responsibility that I assume the additional charge as Director of the National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR), Kolkata. I extend my sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for entrusting me with this esteemed responsibility.

NITTTR Kolkata has long stood as a beacon of excellence in the field of technical education, teacher training, curriculum development, and educational research. The Institute's contributions over the decades have not only advanced pedagogical practices but have also played a pivotal role in shaping the future of technical teachers' education across the country.

In the present dynamic educational landscape, we must embrace transformative changes, integrate emerging technologies, and remain responsive to the evolving needs of our stakeholders. I take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the dedicated faculty, staff, trainees, students and scholars whose efforts uphold the Institute's reputation and drive its continuous progress. I also wish to acknowledge the contributions of my predecessor, whose leadership and vision have brought the Institute to its current stature.

I look forward to working collectively with all members of the NITTTR family, our partner institutions, and the wider academic and professional community to achieve new milestones in quality technical education and teacher training.
